The Molecular Biology and Genomics (“Molbio” or “MBG”) SIG is made up of librarians and library-based experts who provide support and services centering around molecular biology, genomics & genetics and bioinformatics.

Molbio co-sponsors numerous programs at the MLA Annual Conference and has an active listserv of users.  The greatest strength of the Molbio SIG is the members’ expertise and ability to share knowledge in order to support our molecular biology and genomics research communities.

Thank you, Pam and Natalie, for creating this wonderful new website that hopefully will become a hub of SIG activity!
In case it helps in any way, an archival copy of the original web site is available at http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/staff/renata/MolBioSIG/index.html and includes historical information such as the mission statement along with lists of SIG-sponsored programs that were held at past MLA annual meetings. The original SIG web site was kindly hosted by Washington University in St. Louis for more than a decade and was located at http://medicine.wustl.edu/~molbio/. The contents of that site are now available at the archival URL noted above, and it’ll be great to follow the exciting new directions the SIG will take!

Thanks for the materials, Renata. They really help. It’s nice to get the Molbio SIG site up and going again. The old pages were pretty incredible, so we’d like to move all of that material over to these pages.
